Hello!
My name is Dana Karelus, I'm a quantitative wildlife ecologist. I focus my research on the movement patterns and habitat selection of animals, specifically large mammals. But I also study the intersection of movement with wildlife population ecology and landscape ecology. Movement has always been a central theme in my life--from the kinesthetics of figure skating, to the physics of mechanical engineering, and now to the behavioral and spatial aspects of wildlife movement on the landscape. So my path to this point has been somewhat different than many ecologists, but I am beyond thrilled to be in this field now! Please take some time to learn more about me and my research on this site. You can also use the icons above to visit my twitter, flickr, and youtube sites or to email me. Thank you for visiting! |
